Service Sector of Itä-Uusimaa Region Learning, Developing and Networking in Russia
Porvoo International Services coordinates the Porvoo Commercial College administrated project “Service Sector of Itä-Uusimaa Region Learning, Developing and Networking in Russia” during 2008 – 2009.
Project partners in Finland are Porvoo Commercial College, Porvoo Vocational College – Amisto, Edupoli and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Russian main partners are Petrovski College from St. Petersburg and Ministry of Education of Republic of Karelia. In addition several Finnish and Russian companies will take part the project.
The project is part of the “Russia Network of Itä-Uusimaa Region Educational institutions”.
The financing comes from the Finnish National Board of Education (FNBE) and it is to be used for supporting internationalization of vocational education.
The basic activities are:
1. Start-Up meeting in Porvoo, Finland on 3 – 4 November 2008. Participants will be the Finnish and Russian project partners.
2. Work meeting in St. Petersburg on 8 – 9 December 2008. Participants will be Finnish and Russian project coordinators and partners.
3. Project Forums in Porvoo (Finland), St- Petersburg (Russia) and Petrozavodzk (Russia) during year 2009. Questions that are dealt with are about mutual language skills development, development of mutual tourism service concepts, preparing student- and personnel exchange etc.
4. Final Seminar in Porvoo (Finland) in 2009. Activities and results of the project are
presented.
